Safer Searching–Google Trying to help
StopBadware.org is working with Google to prevent you from getting to sites that contain Badware–This is good.

If you check out our front page, you’ll notice the following announcement:
We’re entering a new phase here at StopBadware.org. Google—which is one of our partners—will present people with a warning before they visit websites that have been reported to StopBadware.org as sites that distribute badware. These warnings currently link to a general page on StopBadware.org , but as we finish researching sites, we’ll replace the general page with one of our individual website reports (see an example here). Hopefully this next step will bring us that much closer to fulfilling our mission of providing people with reliable, objective information about downloadable applications in order to help them make better choices.
If there are sites and applications you’d like us to check out before you use them, let us know here.

The DSL Line
Well I finally got around to hooking up my DSL line. I just went from cable to dsl. DSL running at 768/128 bps. Should seem like a big difference but it is not that bad. OK the speed is a little less, but the price is a lot less. Right now I am paying $14.95 usd instead of $45 usd a month.
I only notice the speed difference when I need to move large files, and for the most part I can do that from work using their T3.
So at home I am just surfing and the speeds are fine and I am saving $30 usd a month and that is $360 usd a year.
Freaking awesome.

VMWARE PLAYER is the application I am playing with today.
Lets you run Virtual machines under windows. It won’t let you make them but you can find Linux VM Machines out there to use.
Pretty Cool.
